Wild Card Walk-Off: Edwin Encarnacion Crushes the Extra-Inning Game Winner (VIDEO)

Homers, Incredible Plays

Do-or-die Wild Card Game.

Tied.

Extra innings.

Walk-off homer.

That’s about as good as it gets, and that’s how last night’s AL Wild Card Game between the Orioles and Blue Jays ended, when Edwin Encarnacion stepped to the plate against Ubaldo Jimenez:

A team known for dramatic and impressive homers has another one to add to the reserves, as Encarnacion’s no-doubter went 440 game-winning feet.

No bat flip for Encarnacion, by the way, but the frozen pose at the plate with arms held up in triumph will very likely become another iconic image:

The Blue Jays’ 5-2 win over the Orioles sends them to the ALDS, where they’ll once again face the Rangers.
