Remember That Time: J.T. Snow Saved Dusty Baker’s Son From a Collision at Home

I know the person responsible for retrieving spent bats from the field, after a player gets a hit, are known as a “bat boy” or a “bat girl” not a “batman” or batwoman (though that would be awesome), but they are getting younger and younger these days:

Okay, that wasn’t a traditional “bat boy,” that was Dusty Baker’s (then manager of the San Francisco Giants) son, and he almost ran into some serious trouble, literally, during the 2002 World Series.

As a play was unfolding and enormous baseball players were rounding third, pummeling towards home, J.T. Snow noticed there was someone smaller than usual hanging around home plate. With quick action and swift hands, he plucks up Daren Baker and saved the day.

Maybe he’s the batman.
