Tell Them About How Your Old Man Played Pro Ball: Giants Prospect Matt Pare Has Fun with Recruiting Videos

“Hi I’m Matt Pare. I’m seventeen … eighteen years old now … I’m 5 foot, 10.5 inches, but when you round up and add an inch … I’m six foot.”

By now, you should be familiar with the hilarious 26-year-old Giants prospect Matt Pare, but if you’re not, you’re in for a treat. As Pare has worked his way up the ladder within the Giants organization, he’s also been having a lot of fun on YouTube covering the oddities of his unusual life as a Minor Leaguer.

In the past, he’s come up with a fake dating site for Minor Leaguer Love, which comes with the enticing hook: “There’s not a lot of women on there!” and even a video tribute to help out “Homeless Minor Leaguers,” because they need your help too. 


Today, however, the butt of the jokes is not his fellow Minor Leaguers, but the high schoolers trying desperately to be them. You’ve seen these types of recruiting videos before, but none are quite as honest (and hilarious) as this one:
