This WBC Semifinal Is Already Nuts: Crazy Defense and Dingers in the FIRST Inning

The first inning of the World Baseball Classic semifinal between the Netherlands and Puerto Rico was pretty lit.

After a pair of Yadier Molina defensive web gems erased a pair of baserunners, Wladimir Balentin made sure the Netherlands didn’t completely squander its early scoring opportunity with one major swing and a remarkable bat flip:

Not to be outdone, Carlos Correa of the Houston Astros tied the game in the bottom half of the inning with one out and Francisco Lindor standing at second base.

Let me be clear. All this action happened in the first inning. There were still eight more innings to play after this.

But seriously, props to Molina with some fine defensive awareness. Don’t fall asleep:
