Bryce Harper is just 24 years old, but has already played in parts of five Major League seasons (2017 will be his sixth).
But because his original debut didn’t come until a few weeks into the 2012 season (when he was the ripe old age of 19), today marks just his fifth Opening Day. And if anyone knows how to celebrate Opening Day, it’s Bryce Harper.
It seems his got himself into something of a notable streak:
Bryce Harper just hit his fifth Opening Day home run in five Opening Days. An annual tradition, renewed.

Yup. Five Opening Days. Five home runs.
It wasn’t exactly five straight homers in five straight Opening Days, mind you – he hit two HRs in 2013, none in 2014, one in 2015, one in 2016, and now one more in 2017. So it’s still three in a row and five overall. Damn.
Let’s take a look:
Yeah, that ball was absolutely crushed.
And that’s probably because this is no place for a baseball to be left unattended and in front of Bryce Harper:

And in case you’re wondering: Yes, that is record-tying:

So watch out, Opening Day 2018, Bryce Harper’s coming for you and he’s got a streak to protect.
