Bryce Harper Is A Wild-Running, Helmet-Flying, Hair-Flapping, Walk-Off Maniac

The Washington Nationals are widely expected to take the NL East with relative ease this summer, as no one in their division – besides maybe the Mets – projects to be quite as good as they already are.

But hey, games still have to be played and they can still be intense, especially when a divisional rival is in town. Yesterday was the perfect example.

After taking the game into extra innings, the Nationals found themselves with a runner on first, no outs and Daniel Murphy at the plate. But Murphy is not the star of this story – even though his hit was the one to knock in the walk-off run – instead it’s the runner at first who won this game for Washington.

Check out Bryce Harper’s aggressive and, in my opinion, game-winning base running. He’s an absolute mad-man and I love it:

There’s no question that hit made it all possible, but Harper’s ultra agressive base running right off the bat put the third base coach in a position to send him.

I mean, the dude’s a monster:

Love him or hate him, Bryce Harper knows how to play baseball. He can slug, he can hit for average, he can catch the ball without looking …

… And he can run.

The Washington Nationals are now 6-4 on the season.
