WATCH: Oakland A’s Pitcher Pulls Off an Unassisted Double Play With TWO Tags

Incredible Plays, Wild and Crazy

Just over a week ago, we watched in awe as Drew Storen of the Cincinnati Reds tossed an immaculate inning – that is nine pitches, nine strikes, three outs.

But while that was fascinating for the oddity/rarity of it all, I’m not sure it’s more impressive than what A’s starter Kendall Graveman did last night.

Watch as he completes an UNASSISTED double play using two tag outs on a grounder back to the mounds. Unbelievable:

It’s hard to express just why this is so crazy, but I think the video speaks to itself. It’s not the first time a pitcher has completed a double play, but to do so alone and on two tags (as opposed to a lineout back to the mound, or something of the nature) … it’s just so unusual. And unusual is fun.

Thus, this is fun.
